Firearm Proficiency – The First Step Toward Licensing
Obtaining your firearm proficiency is the essential first step in the firearm licensing process. We guide you through the required unit standards, ensuring you are fully prepared and compliant.
Training Materials & Open-Book Assessments
Your proficiency journey begins with collecting your official training manuals from our office. Manuals may be purchased in-store or couriered directly to your doorstep for convenience.
Once you receive your manuals, you will complete a structured, user-friendly open-book assessment at home. Each unit standard includes its own assessment, which must be completed in black ink. The manuals are carefully designed to highlight relevant sections, making it easy to locate information without unnecessary searching.
Booking Your Assessment & Practical Training
After completing your open-book assessments, you will schedule your closed-book examination and practical shooting session. Bookings can be made via phone, WhatsApp, or email. We will provide you with available training dates, allowing you to select the option that best suits your schedule.
Training Day Overview
Training begins at 9:00 AM at our offices. The day starts with a brief introduction, followed by the workshop and closed-book assessment. After a short break, we proceed to the practical component at the shooting range.
We conduct our practical training at the Shooting Range. The facility ensures a comfortable and controlled environment, regardless of weather conditions.
At the range, participants receive structured, hands-on instruction covering firearm safety, handling, and effective use of their chosen firearm. Our experienced instructors are patient and attentive, adapting their teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure personalised attention. An added advantage of our format is that the entire course is completed in a single day, minimising disruption to your work and family commitments.
We encourage questions and go beyond minimum requirements to ensure you leave fully confident and informed.
